Who are we?

  • After stumbling onto the term Parental Alienation in 2017, in an effort to help my husband and to figure out his separation with his children, I soon realized I was alienated from my parent in the same home.

Through extensive therapy, research, and hard work, I have taken the negative that is Parental Alienation, along with its effect on me, and transformed it into an opportunity to bring awareness to the adult children affected most by this form of abuse. I am personally responsible for the effectiveness and operation of The Anti-Alienation Project support group and mentorship program.

  • I am a childhood survivor of a divorce, and a high conflict custody case that ultimately resulted in the severing of a parent-child relationship between me and my dad. I finally realized the truth (in my mid-30s) that I had been alienated from my dad by my mom. After realizing this truth, I was able to connect the dots and many things in my life started to make sense, and I was able to begin my healing journey.

  • At age nine, during my parents’ divorce, my mom made me believe my dad was abusive, bad, and didn’t love me.

For the next 20 years, I rejected my (actually loving) dad. In 2022, I figured out the truth. In June 2023, I began The Anti-Alienation Project to raise awareness about parental alienation from a child’s point-of-view. I hope to become a resource for others like me, helping them navigate and find support to heal.
